A Church Born In Prayer
Prayer was the key to the beginning of this new Foursquare Church in the city of Weatherford.  Pastor Kirk L. Zehnder, his wife Karen, and their daughter Hannah, relocated from San Antonio, to undertake a rather unusual church planting challenge.  Namely, to begin a church which had a building, along with all the accompanying responsibilities, but did not have any people.  This is really church planting in reverse!  As you can expect - it moved them to earnest prayer!

The first small group that began meeting at the Zehnder's home in Weatherford all came as a result of prayer.  From the church sign board, people began calling and enquiring about the new church.  Several joined a home Bible study and fellowship, and began to seek the Lord together for His plan in beginning this new work.  On Easter Sunday, 2004, The Fellowship at Weatherford held its' first Sunday morning service.

Since this time the Lord has continued to add to His church, forming a wonderful, loving, and gifted fellowship of believers who are honestly endeavoring to grow in Christ!  Prayer continues to be the foundation of our life together as a church.  We have a focused time for prayer each Sunday morning, a Prayer Room, and an active prayer ministry.  Each Sunday morning we are experiencing a wonderful move of God's Spirit and dynamic answers to prayer.  We invite you to come and experience God's presence with us!

God answers prayer!
